Remote Access
The software allows you to connect from a remote computer to view live video. This means that
you can view video through a web site online. To allow the remote access you must adjust the
settings in the dialog box. Select “Options””Remote Access” to open the dialog box. This setting
is already set for you using default settings; it is recommended to keep the default settings.
To set up remote access connections:
1. Under video stream server, check the box next to enable video server.
2. Specify TCP port number (Note: The software remote has to have the same TCP port number so
that you can connect to this video server). Therefore it is best to leave it at 81.
3. Specify the maximum number of connections, this allows a set number of simultaneous
connections allowed from remote computers. You have the option to choose from 1 to 4
simultaneous connections.
4. Under web server, check the box next to enable web server.
5. Specify a port number; it is best to leave this port number at 80 as port
80 is a general default port.
6. Specify video size by selecting the drop down menu. It is best to leave it
at 320 x 240 as that size produces the best quality picture.
